  1. my son has been diagnosed with mild/moderate autism. it took 4 years to get someone to commit to the diagnosis because he just didn't seem to fit the "profile of symptoms". we started at 2 years of age, at 6 he finally was given his diagnosis. he is now 7. this past week he has become completely engrossed in his own world. this is unusual. he has his fantasies, his gift is memorization (every line from a movie, tv show, rhythm from songs) he saw the new Alice in Wonderland about a month ago. all of a sudden from the moment he comes home from school he is obsessed with going down the "rabbit hole". he wanders outside looking for it, stands next to me and say's "can i go down the rabbit hole?" over and over again for hours. if we move him to another area like his room he becomes frantic, screaming he has to go down the rabbit hole. he won't do his homework without spitting and shaking and crying, the school is threatening to fail him. he wont talk to me anymore, he simply keeps repeating the same thing over and over again. I have no idea what is going on? what do i do?
